I have family living in Melbourne, which has given me the opportunity to visit Australia many times. Each visit includes a pit-stop at the Yarra Valley. Known for its cooler climate grape varieties, the region boasts an impressive array of vineyards and wineries. Here are a few of my favourites:

  • Soumah: One of my families favourite, and the perfect spot for lunch. Enjoy their award-winning wines while taking in the stunning vineyard views.
  • Domaine Chandon: Offers beautiful scenery and an upscale winery experience.
  • Yering Farm Wines: A charming, small family-run winery.
  • Tokar Estate: A large family run estate, complete with an on-site restaurant. Their Pinot Noir is exceptional!

I’ve also explored the Mornington Peninsula, which offers a fantastic selection of vineyards. A unique experience here is taking a horseback ride through the vineyards and visiting the Peninsula Hot Springs. Some of the vineyards I visited include:

  • T’Gallant Vineyard
  • Frog Hollow Estate Wines
